About Francine and Raw.Real.Redefined

Hi, my name is Francine!  I am a photographer, wanderlust, yogi, student of shamanic healing, Reiki Master, Crystal Healer and a seeker of love and light...based in Escondido, California.

Twelve years ago was the first time I picked up a camera with a real desire. A desire to stop hating the world, to stop hating my body that was going through changes, to stop hating that I had no hair..TO STOP HATING MY LIFE! The camera became my refuge as I was battling with breast cancer at 29 years old. It gave me faith, it slowed me down from living a fast paced life, it challenged me on days I didn’t want to get out of bed..it made me grateful for being ALIVE. Before I got sick, I never thought I had a creative bone in my body…. I have spent the last 10 years learning, playing, meeting amazing people, but most of all..creating some amazing memories!! For the past eight years I have been a professional photographer experimenting, and specialized in many genres such as landscapes, nature, and people (family, maternity, and newborn) and everything in between. I have learned so much about the perfect lighting, perfect scenarios, perfect models with perfect poses….In early 2014 I decided to break all of the photography rules! I wanted my models and photography to portray HONEST.SIMPLE.BEAUTY. and I believe I have captured it in my work today. A large percentage of my models have never modeled before! I make my models feel like they are the most important person in that moment. I have helped them celebrate who they are, both their beauty and their flaws ;) I strive to capture the rare intersection of sensuality, sexuality, warmth, beauty, and class.
